The first phase of the partnership has been dedicated to the release of sloths, orphaned and hand raised, back into the rainforest in the maritime zone adjoining Tulemar. In June of 2015, the Board of Directors of Tulemar announced a partnership between Tulemar and The Sloth Institute Costa Rica (TSI). They are also dedicated to collaborating with other sloth rehabilitation and release programs. Their mission is to enhance the well-being and conservation of wild and captive sloths through research and education.
